User accounts normally appear on your Windows XP welcome screen. You can hide them from view with this tip. It only applies to a user account you’ve already created, so if you want to hide a completely new account, you must also create that account!
You’ll need to go into your Registry, so back it up before you start just in case you make a mistake.
Here’s how to hide your user account.

OK so I might be one of the few that admits it but I like Bell. Well I don’t like the money grabbing total monopolizing phone company but so far I like their service. I use 3 things from them. The phone service, the Internet, and their Satellite service. I will start with the phone. We subscribe with almost everything that they provide. Phone, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Answer. Everything works well and works all the time. The only thing I don’t like is the cost. Adding each service costs more and more. Unfortunately there is no competition that will reduce their hold on the service. Next is their Internet. I was probable one of the first people in our town to connect with to their ADSL service. Since I have been connected I have never ( and I mean NEVER) have had an issue. Continue reading I Like Bell
I just love this article. Even the Mighty Apple can make a buggy OS!!!!
I have been a fan of Windows. I have used every OS they have made since Windows 3.1. Windows 2000 and XP are probable their best OS they have made. Built on the NT architecture. Compatible with everything now. XP is best for gaming. Usually stable. Sure you can get blue screens of death but I have not got as many as 95/98. XP has been around since 2001. We all have been waiting for something new. Something better. MS created Vista. There is some nice eye candy. A little more secure, but on the whole its not worth the wait for 5 years for. Its extremely bloated. Incompatible with a lot of hardware and software. The option of 6 different versions is just confusing for some and can drive you crazy. Sure you can get the Ultimate that has everything but is it really worth the cost!. They should have just stuck with the 2 different versions. Business and Home. Getting Vista Home Premium I expected the scanning and fax to be in but NOOO!! Only in the Business and Ultimate. This is one of the stupidest ideas I have ever seen. I could go on about Vista but I won’t.

Here is another scary story about a fast moving virus running through your MSN Messenger
IM Botnet Infects Thousands Of PCs
I have used many antivirus programs over the years. I first started with McAfee along time ago. It was good at its time but it started causing problems for me. I switch to Norton Antivirus. Again it was good at its time. The corporate version is not too bad but now the personal version I would not recommend to anyone. Since version 2005 and up and even worse the Internet Security and full Utilities versions can cause your super fast PC turn into an IBM XT. They cram everything into one program that will at minimal drop the performance of your PC to at least 10-15 percent. The anti-spyware part never seems to be able to remove the spyware. It finds it but can’t remove it. I can’t count the number of PC’s I see that have slowness, Internet/Email issues and they have Norton installed. I uninstall Norton and all the problems go away. I don’t want to just pick on Norton. McAfee and Pc-cillin all have similar issues. My recommendation is change your behavior and install a less intrusive antivirus program like AVG. There is the free version and the paid version. Oh and have some form of Firewall. Hardware firewalls are the best because they can’t be easily compromised. (Routers have built in firewalls, if you are on highspeed, GET ONE!!!!!). If not use at least the MS firewall. If you are on Windows 98/ME/2000 and are on dial-up or highspeed without a router, GET WITH THE TIMES because you are just minutes of getting infected !!!
